Success, Temperance, and my Birthday >:D
Sooooo, I'm wasting a lot of time as it is; but since i do like to rant once in awhile i wanted to talk about some stuff I've been experiencing.

First off, it's my birthday! (there's a birthday thread :3); i don't celebrate my birthdays much but it always does make me feel loads better when people wish me happy birthdays and such :). I don't get any presents really but what can i say, the whole birthday wishes do bring a sense of happiness to the day YayYayYayYayYay.

Ahem, anyway, I'm going to talk about my first week of university and how i just...can't control myself at times. I don't know about many of you, but I'm no genius; thusly, i need to obviously work very hard to get the marks i wish to achieve. Do i have a goal? No, i have a dream but i usually see those as long termed things that are usually answered in a way you cannot specifically pinpoint the route you're going to take to get to them. So really, all i do is try to do well in school, but alas; as i am human, at times i do find myself killing time and running out of time for things.

Lets explain one scenario, i come home at 9:00pm from a physics lab; feeling good about myself, i make dinner and finish at 10:00 pm. Then i decide, what the hey, I've worked (and slept) all day so what's the hurt in one round of SC2? Play with my friend, get owned because the enemy built cloaked units, ok...

So i do another game, telling myself I'll just win the next one and stop; then i find out I'm up against terrans as zerg and get banshee'd + cloaked, face palming myself for having not built any spore crawlers or scouted. yeesh. When you notice that something you devised, failed, it's only natural to get really frustrated because of what you SHOULD have been doing to get it right.

I don't know about you guys, but i get frustrated in competitive sorts of games; so i didnt feel all that well when i lost like 3 times and spent 2 hours playing. Now, i sit here having read half of my biology chapter to only know that there is a physics and english quiz the day after tomorrow. Also, i need to finish this chapter for tomorrow lesson (which obviously, I'm not going to do).

Will i get all it done? Dunno. But i do know that the things i do are a waste of time and i have a hard time saying no to it. Maybe i need to understand when enough is enough, but it's frustrating to have work crashing down on you because of your own actions; the guilt is...annoying.

Sometimes you have a strategy, know it, and it's always in your head; yet, for some in explanatory reason you just DON'T follow it and get owned in life.

I think, maybe i need to be calm when i do get owned; but life isn't about second chances, as such i only wish i had a better strategy to approach when i do need something to be done (and playing sc2 as zerg).

So what do you think guys? Too solemn? I feel like i need another post to talk about other stuffs, eh, maybe later.

What are some good "control" schemes (studying methods) do you suggest to keep myself under control? I do remember zinga saying he would study then play a single match of a fighting game as a method. Other ones would be great. :P

also, since I'm talking about me wasting time; check out these two wallpapers i made!

I seriously need to do something that's not blazblue themed next >_<

Uploading....Holy spoon i can't upload atm...check back later.

I think you probably have the best control out of most/all of us already.

Dammit, I hate myself for having better control.  Climbed to the top of the hill to just fall back down again.
