Aftar this topic today I wanted to know has anybody found any other solutions for the e74 error rather than the x-clamp or towel trick ! my xbox360 got an e74 error for the second time and the guy I gave it to, to fix it said that the x-clamp trick didn't work anymore and you have to say goodbye to your xbox Whyowhy

E74 will be something that will plague you forever if you've seen it once, why not buy a new 360? like an arcade as all the arcades these days run on the jasper(?) motherboard, and on that motherboard both the chips are 45nm so it runs a lot cooler and it's designed to be a lot quieter.

but as for your current 360, sell it for spares and repairs and use the money for a new 360?

yeah actually I prefer PC over every thing and the one how wanted to buy an xbox was my brother the only reason I let him buy it was because of some certain titles which most of them actually got realeased for the PC later on, and I only want to fix it now to play the new final fantasy and also I don't want it to become like my ps2 and go under the bed for ever! maybe your right I might have to sell it but i don't think anybody would want the parts here and there is now way l would wast my money for anther xbox i'de rather buy a new monstrous graphic card the xbox served us well enough. though I've opened it up myself a while ago and its still open in my closet maybe i might test the x-clamp on it again

All the X-Clamp fix and towel fix do is postpone the error from coming back again, they aren't permanent fixes.
