Zinga could have meant for you guys to time it yourself... (since timing is part of the process too). Bleh, too late.
a big part. probably an error in the file or just spliced wrong.
id do it if i can do a PV but i don't think i have time for much more than OP (sekirei LOL)
ProperBritish Wrote:Azumi Wrote:just curious but has anyone other than me, assassinator, sensei, and sky done any subs?

Extremely unlikely. And I believe the subtitle stream is not interleaved with the video and audio anyway, it's simply stuck at the start or end, the rest is up to vsfilter/libass/whatever other subtitle renderer you use.

Lol, not telling you to make a karaoke, just parody subing (ie. replace the real subs with random s hit). And that karaoke took you that long because you hard coded the whole thing instead of making the machine do it (via a template).

But can you time like this?

I'll just take a wild guess as to what that video is, and if its like the one you linked me too.. that's rather brash don't you think xD

ProperBritish Wrote:timing isn't that bad
its just laborious typing out everything.
I find typing to be mindnumbingly boring. Timing for 1/2 an hrs would generally be enough to put me to sleep. Hell, I'd rather semi-manual IVTC hybrid videos using YATTA (which is a pain in the donkey) than time something.
But probably not everyone shares my thoughts, Sensei said in the past he enjoys timing, the timers for various fansub groups probably likes it too.

Assassinator Wrote:But having a scroll through, the Maria-sama ga Miteru one's timing sort of goes out of sync from after the episode title thing at 4:10. Maybe Zinga removed some sponsorship ads or something and forgot to shift times?
I deleted the ~1:31 OP around there. Didn't bother getting the stuff exact though, but it looked alright. Can resync it if you want.
Or maybe I muxed the wrong thing.

RE: EP Anime Funsubbing Contest #2
Wow, just checked - subs are indeed very off - maybe I shifted it by the wrong amount.
Seems that shifting the subs 1 second forward after that point solves the issue. To do this in Aegisub, select line 111 ("Is there anyone else you would like to invite ..."), go Timing » Shift Times, have "0:00:01.00" in the Time textbox, select Forward, and Selection onward in the Affect frame.
I'll amend the subs in the MKV in a sec.
Thanks for pointing that out.
By the way, who's interested in doing this at the moment?
From what I can tell, wee have krystabegnalie and aspheric right now. Assassinator interested? Anyone else?
I'll start on this soon.
