Use modest blur to fix the hair, OR use 1px brushes to repair.

The particles on the left are a bit too harsh, while the ones on the left look like 'stardust' which I'm guessing is the desired effect.

Either reattempt with Outer Glow or Soft Brushes with scatter.

White, transluscent borders top and below would add a nice touch as well~
