Vista upgrade question
im currently running XP pro sp2 and im thinking of upgrading this to vista ultimate
should i use the upgrade feature or do a fresh install instead?

im worried that this will fudge up stuff if i use the upgrade option cause this is a work computer (and i can't really afford to loose a day or two just reformatting and installing stuff all over again)

thoughts? :D

RE: Vista upgrade question
Can you make a separate partition, install on that, then slowly migrate things over?

Resizing a partition may take a while if you haven't actually prepared one before.

In my experience, upgrades don't work terribly well, though they should be fine in the most part I'd say.

RE: Vista upgrade question
Yes, that would be on another drive letter.  What's wrong with not using C:?  In fact, I prefer not to install Windows on C:

But on the Vista partition, it will probably end up mapping the drive to C: anyway - it'll appear as something different on your XP partition (and vice versa).
