Could probably use fonts to stick in logos, though IDK.
Some other things I forgot to mention earlier.
They often (more often than not) hardsub the donkey signs/karaoke too because
1. Not everyone has the right setup to display these propperly.
2. Some of the very complicated stuff won't run without lag. Especially the karaoke, sometimes these can have like 10+ layers ontop of each other doing animations at the same time.
3. Hardsub the fansub credits. Reason is obvious.
4. And so the original will always be superior to random encodes and muxes using the group's subs that people might decide to do.

AFX isn't a format. It's short for (Adobe) After Effects. So you pretty much making seperate videos for each sign/logo/whatever, and overlay these onto the original using avisynth. Only for very hardcore fansubbers because it takes way lot of effort.
hmm is that same as doing some overlays in macromedia flash?

Don't know how it works in flash, but probably different. This is external, AFX just makes you a whole lot of video files, you overlay them yourself.

Final reminder that this is due in less than 2 days from now.
If you wish, you can submit partial files if you haven't completed all of it.

That's all right, as long as it's entertaining in its own way - thanks for all the trouble! :)
