RE: New PSU, any suggestions?
You mean HD4850 right? I would suggest against dual graphics cards like the GTX295 unless you're really hard core. If they come down in price, it'll most likely be because of a new generation of cards. Dual GPUs suck a lot of power. I'd go 4870/GTX260 before a dual card solution.
A 380W Antec EarthWatts PSU can power a HD4850 (have heard 4870 running off that too), so yeah, 500W is far more than enough.

I know. Yeah, that's the one. I think that its one of the best value card. Good performance, good price. I can still crossfire the 4850, but the point is that in that price, I could as well buy the GTX295. But I guess, its better to wait and see what happens over the next few months.

Yes... but like discussed, new cards will come out. Its wiser to wait and see.

RE: New PSU, any suggestions?
Well, people were pretty pissed with Nvidia for releasing a new GPU weeks after a previous launch, making that one obsolete and the money wasted. So I guess they'll cut down on that.

RE: New PSU, any suggestions?
I have a friend who bought the 8800, a little before the 9x series was released. So he sold off the 8800 and got a 9800. Only to read next month that GTX have come out. sol95dd the 9800 and got the 260 and then eventually the 295. Poor chap was freaked out. He's a pro gamer by the way, and yeah,.. likes to have the latest and the greatest.

RE: New PSU, any suggestions?
Well...
so I finally a PSU.
Settled for a CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus 390W.
So long as I don't try to make overload my PC, this should last for sometime.. Apparently, the battery of my APC UPS is somewhat responsible for the failure of the earlier one.
