Yeah, hate the groups which really don't know what they're doing.


I never actually watched anything from Mendoan, but some of these groups I look at their encoding, and typesetting... and tell myself to remember that name, and to never get anything from them again. Nah mate, that's not how you encode, my sister (with virtually no encoding knowledge) could do it better with a 1-click encode GUI.

The raw muxes aren't like THAT bad actually. Raws aren't the most efficiently encoded files in the world, but they won't give you eye cancer.

The really bad stuff happen when the "encoders" think they know wtf they're doing, but actually don't know poo poo.

Here's some examples, from 1 single anime. (Best save pics down onto your HDD, and look at them there. The web browser seems to distort them a bit)

AND on top of that, all of these encodes, besides for looking like poo poo, are also wrongly decimated (that is, wrong fps), so they don't even play smoothly, and will jutter.

I mean seriously, I'd watch remuxed raws anyday over that encoderfail. I bet my sister, using a 1-click-GUI, can encode better than their "encoders". Srsly "encoders", give up encoding, muxing raws is much easier, and also gives better results.

So if you want to download Sekirei, download the Titanium version. The rest all suck donkey. (Or the new group, if Sensei ever bothers to time and typeset the rest of the shit. If it ever does, I can promise you a decent encode though.)

You mean from the high bitrate? Shouldn't be that hard. IMO a P4 @ 3GHz should be able to play all of them (besides for the 1080 stuff). My old 1.6GHz Sempron I used in the past can play pretty much all the 720p anime vids I downloaded (using CoreAVC).

Oh, and I'm not saying everyone should go mux raws instead of encoding. Good encoders can output stuff way better (in terms of picture quality and size efficiency) that the raws, but bad encoders who spits out absolute poo poo.... I think raws win.

The bottom 2 are Chihiro. The 1st one was Musubi-Weib. Musibi-Weib also had the super smart idea of making a 5.1 surround audio track when the DVDs came with only 2 channel audio. "I has 720p DVDRip with 5.1 surround sound. Has to be better, amirite? amirite? amirite?".... Like lolwut?

Supposedly, I heard from people that Chihiro's become better these days. I personally haven't watched anything from them since Sekirei, so I can't verify that myself.
