Still surprising to see a checksum calculated so quickly.  Try doing a checksum on a 600MB file - it'll most likely take you a few seconds at least.
Just tried a 476MB file - takes around 10 seconds.

Still way more likely he can pull of the checksum (or some other sort of thing that allows him to compare, which is faster than a checksum) in 1 second than upload 500MB in 1 second.

Well, I just renamed one of my files to

mnvire nt349t  fjkeo;asj;o

& uploaded it in one second & it was 600+MB

IDK, ?!?!

Still, most likely the MD5 is what does it.

But does the file actually get uploaded? Does it stay on the servers? If so download as much as you can and upload it and spread the links for free premiums

To hash files, download HashMyFiles.
If you really want to see what's being sent, you could set up a proxy server and monitor the traffic going through, though that might be a little tricky to do.

RE: Has megaupload speeds changed for you??
You guys see the youtube video? It is processed now...  IDK, what to say really...  Everything was always similar to everyones elses experiences with uploading.  Today after work tried it again, another psp game uploaded @ the speed of light!?  I check my file manager in my megaupload account & all files are there...  Something like this should be close to impossible!  I guess i will take advantage of this. Below is my modem signal;

Signal

The Signal Page provides information about the connection between the Cable Modem and the cable company.

Downstream - Value
Frequency - 603000000 Hz
Signal To Noise Ratio - 38.6 dB
Power Level - 6.1 dBmV
The Downstream Power Level reading is a snapshot taken at the time this page was requested. Please Reload/Refresh this Page for a new reading

Upstream - Value
Channel ID - 1
Frequency - 30600000 Hz
Power - 45.2 dBmV
