Driver initialisation + a few seconds (for POST) takes longer than that... Did you disable a whole load of drivers?

RE: Why are computer start times so slow?
1.5 mins is relatively nothing if you've had a chance to work on an Exchange server or a server for that matter.... boot times can be anything between 15 mins to 2 hours, depending on the number of services.

RE: Why are computer start times so slow?
4 minutes before it's ready to roll. Seriously, I timed it. Don't know why, I don't have a bunch of spoon at startup. AVG starts (never got around to re-installing NOD32, lazy), topdesk, orb, Y'z shadow, rocketdock and rklauncher. I've got to have a bug somewhere, but I'm getting a new drive in a week or two, so I'm not stressing it.
