It's also been confirmed that the Slim will be phased out eventually. Koller says production of the PSP-2000 will cease by September. Already?! If you're a collector of sorts, better make sure you grab a Slim unit ASAP!

hmm this may prove my theory that i can insert a psp 3000 screen into my slim as there basically the same model.

i just sacrifice 20-30 battery life for better screen quality so its not bad

also psp slim had a 5th brightness
so psp 3000 6th brightness setting ?!?!?! maybe

Squee would you know where to find the 5th brightness plugin for the 2000slim!?

they say 2000 parts work on the 3000,. but does that also mean the 3000 parts work on the 2000!? prob yes,.

and i don't think they are using a 5th brightness,. its just the screen itself is brighter,. so my guess is def no 6th brightness,..

damn i can't wait for the 3000 to come out!!

you have totally overlooked the probability of a better GPU behind it aswell... or something along those lines... also if the screen happens to come with a 6th brightness you won't be able to use it unless maybe via homebrew, since the slim would have a physical limitation.

The 3000 increased the LCD luminance, and contrast ratio, thus requiring more power, so battery life will suffer, and the LCD is powered from the motherboard so a LCD swap will need a custom hardware mod, a simple open and close swap will not work.

In more 3000 news: The new 3000 will also wipe your donkey, and clean the wet spot after sex.
