RE: Upgrade Laptop To Windows 7
So is it that much better than vista? Im thinking of installing it in a separate partition. What is the minimum disk space requirement?

Around 9GB without the swap/hibernation files. Add 2.5x your installed RAM to 9GB and around 6GB for future expansion and that'd be the recommended minimum partition size for it.
My thoughts on Win7 (if anyone cares): http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthr...?tid=15621

I'm running Win7 on my 6-year-old piece of spoon. It has a 3ghz P4 OC'd to 3.4ghz (the motherboard won't let me adjust voltages so that's as far as it goes stable. It'll go to 4ghz if i really push it though), 1Gb of ram and quite possibly the worst graphics card ever made.
It all seems to work fine apart from not being able to use Aero.
Running 7 in a 1.5Ghz athlon with 512MB ram and an ati rage128 + onboard graphics in dual screen.
i win.

orly? I'll just have to go and install it on the Ghetto Computer!
333mhz Celeron Slot A
196mb of RAM
ATI Rage 8mb AGP Graphics
20gb hdd
It runs XP fine so it (hopefully) will just about cope with 7...
