my dad has to plan his day around his computer. you kick it gently to turn it on (the power button is broken) then go and do something else because it takes about 10 minutes to get to the logon screen. Once you get there you leave it another 5 minutes before it becomes responsive enough to begin the torture that is logging on. Once you've put in your password you leave it another 30 minutes before its ready to roll. The only things that start up with XP are ZoneAlarm, uTorrent and Local Cooling (Google it but whatever you do, don't install it. Its worse than Real Player when it comes to fudgeing up your computer).
Mine however is a different story. from power button to ready-to-use including putting in my password takes about 45 seconds.
