That's a story thing (not what I'm referring to).
I meant that people watch it probably because they watched KgNE, and probably had an expectation that it would be like KgNE, but it turns out quite differently, so ratings are low.

How did it even end up on the list? I mean it's like old, unheard of, and doesn't have great scores either.

Possibly.
Actually... reading some of the comments on MAL... yeah, people need to understand this for what it is, that is, a random lols OVA, and sort of bridge between kiminozo and muv-luv. It's not supposed to "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien 2 - Haruka Akane Strikes Back" or something. Actually, I wonder how well the Luv-Luv Alternative will do if that got animated, because unlike Akane Maniax and Muv-Luv (both of which are mainly commedy), it's 100% serious business, and is supposedly god tier according to like everyone who's played it.
Spoiler for save space:
Quote:ok after watching Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts) I was touched. It truly brought a tear to my cold heart. Now after watching Akane Maniax I feel like I want to kill something. It was definitly a 360 from RH. The main character is fudgeen nuts. He reminds me of a John Rambo with a Gundam on speed. Why the hell did they add in all that random donkey mecha stuff? I mean, I love mecha stuff as much as the next guy but there was really no place for it in this ova. It only made the show more confusing. Speaking of confusing, the dreams the guy has messed up allot of stuff. I couldn't tell half the time when he was day dreaming about Akane if it was a dream or really happening.
Quote:I really like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien but this is the most awful OVA one could ever imagine... The wannabe comedy, the stupid daydreaming and the foolish protagonist. Re-watch value: Very Low. I won't ever watch this torture again!
Quote:anyway that was one of the worst anime i seen in my life and a big shame for the name of Kimi ga nozomu eien

NO KIMINOZO 2!!!!
Quote:Also after watching this it left me with loads of unanswered questions...for example why was Hayase, Mitsuki in a limo dressed sexy and holding a katana? Also how did she know the moron main character, what did she want to tell him and why did he transfer....I was totally lost at that ending part. Did Takayuki Narumi get some job that paid allot or something? That's the only answer that I can think up for the reason why Mitsuki was in a limo. Also why was Suzumiya, Haruka in her room holding onto the book Narumi gave her in the dark? Was she just reflecting on the past or something? I was a bit confused. I would have thought she would be busy making more books.

Lol, maybe it is important to know something about Luv-Luv then.

wee've both seen KgNE and had it in mind, the list had anything wee were interested in (I'm glad there are so many interesting titles) but Akane Maniax found itself at the bottom then wee killed it off.
I loved the KgNE Next Season OVAs. I'm a sucker for romance.

Seitokai Yakuindomo - 3.5 stars
Does seem to do it tries to do, but I think it could've been slightly better with some more variation. Well I guess it did have some, so maybe I'm turned off by all the sexual jokes they make (which kinda became predictable as to when they'd be made, later on).
Shakugan no Shana S - seems to be quite decent - less action and focuses more on the other aspect of the show.
Ore no Imouto - seems plausible that one could end the show after the 2nd ep, so I'll stop watching here for now. Can't say I find the setting that interesting (1st ep maybe, don't really like the 2nd ep terribly much).

Railgun OVA seems to be just the same formula used in the series (I guess somewhat expected) though condensed into a 30 minute show. At least they revisted some earlier ideas which they dropped in later parts in the TV series.

REC - a little weird, but nice and short. Like the girl's name (Baka Aka!).
Probably 3-3.5 stars.
Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, reasonably entertaining. Only about 1 episode long, so not much to comment on.
Chess game was interesting (lol, bitch slap capture).
Someone recommended me DearS, but after watching 2 episodes, I felt like dropping it, but I pressed on. Now after 5, I think I might drop it.
Probably also drop Strike Witches S2.

Watched that. Yeah, pretty much.

Recommendations? You never got around to watching Code Geass which I told you to ages ago. But yeah, I think I tried watching 1 episode + the OP and ED from that (DeaS) some time ago, seemed quite silly.
Also, update your MyAnimeList and accept friend requests.

I have a feeling it's srs bsns stuff, and I don't want to watch it if it sticks in my mind, especially around exam cram time.

*grumble grumble* Don't even know if I remember my login details.
I'll get around to it, maybe. Seems so pointless, though considering the popularity of Bookface, everyone's into pointless things >_>

It's not as serious business as you and Sensei think. Though it's definitely more srs bsns than not.
It's pretty much a lot of everything. Has a lot of mind games and battle of wits, and other similarities to Death Note (super smart protag with hax powers who manipulates half the people to pwn the other half). But also has drama, romance, highschool slice-of-life and comedy, sci-fi, lots of action and giant robots, mindfudge, lots of raging and butthurt, lots of people getting trolled, some fanservice, chess, hax powers (Geass), badassery and powerlevels, politics, parodies of stuff.
Broken in a lot of places, but very entertaining. Sort of like a combination of 60% Death Note + 30% Gundam + 10% some highschool slice of life romance comedy stuff.

I use it as a list mainly, to keep track of scores and look at other's.
