i thought those were the manga not novels... i think of novels as mostly text

Actually they do have quite a good number of text in them. Most anime coming out nowadays are pretty much based off light novels like Haruhi and Visual Novels actually.

actually all i think it means is that it won't be called "The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya"
if you look you'll see the light novel list, and each one has a different name, i think they only want to do the same the authors did with the naming & ect...

i hope that's what some of you here are thinking too, i just havent seen anyone point it out yet...
