However, this is not the end for Haruhi arriving in Anime, because, it was cancelled for something else, that Haruhi is the main character for..

Your title is misleading- I almost shat myself, the writer/artist or whatever also did lucky star, so hopefully it MIGHT still be good.

They canceled it but replaced it with the same thing but with a plot from the novels?

its also confusing for me, too, but I think its going to me more centered on this novel "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" its going to be more central on the "supernatural" aspect of the story I think. That's good, but some people might miss the Club aspect to it..
