Wel first thing you got to do is downgrade your psp firmware to 1.5

To use the 3.50 downgrader for MUST have a unpatched copy of Lumines UMD in order to downgrade to 1.5

Once you have gotten your psp to firmware 1.5 then you are ready to update to 3.71 M33-2, but before you update to 3.71 M33-2 you MUST be at 3.52 M33-4 sooo....
