^ Tried investing in CD protective technology (ie CD cases) :P ?

Anyway, I did hear about a range of DVDs called "Armour" or something - apparently meant to be highly resistant to scratching.  According to a reviewer, even heavy scratching with a scourer didn't work, though prodding with a screwdriver is what eventually broke it.

Did cost AU$10/DVD though, when DVDs were about AU$1 each.
