Yeah, whether you get a laptop or desktop really depends on your needs. If you get a decent laptop, it should play Crysis, but not necessarily at high or even medium settings.
Consider your needs - how often do you need to move it around? Also consider upgradability options. If you do wish to move it around, do you want a large, cumbersome type laptop with decent specs, or a lighter one with not as good specs?
As for the CPUs above, the Intel is probably better.

Yay, my 7800GT will work :) Though I only have 1GB RAM. For some odd reason, it doesn't seem to run anywhere near well as it should. 2x512 MB DDR500 Kingmax RAM in Dual Channel DDR - the RAM got a really good review, but my RAM appears to run slower than some 1GB DDR400 Generic no Dual Channel RAM... :(
Oh well.
