Couldn't future firmwares just patch the exploit then?
If the UPDATE folder is treated specially, maybe a homebrew launcher which runs in the UPDATE folder, which can then run homebrews in kernel mode?

Sony is always changing the nids, so yes patching anything hackers make will be easy for Sony. But when wee can sigh homebrew creating an exploit should be very easy. Anything running from UPDATE run must in VSH mode, so I don't think that will work.
As things stand now:
Sony releases 6.35
Hackers look high and low to find a exploit
Hackers make a CFW
Sony patches it with a new OFW
When hackers can sing homebrew:
Sony releases 6.35
Hackers make and sign a exploit
Hackers make a CFW
Sony patches it with a new OFW
