Why is it with OSTs

Why is it with some sound tracks, instumentals, piano albums and such, that they want to pan the main audio to the right or left? Facepalm

I want to hear it in BOTH EARS please.

My most recent pain has come from the album "Piano de Kanon" - its the Piano from Kanon (2006) and its louder in my right ear than my left.. and this isn't the first time its happened.

I know I can pan it myself in a media player but it just doesn't sound right,. Sadist
