Imba does mean Imbalanced, however, its usage has the meanings of: Awesome kill "IMBA KILL!!", untouchable hero ("Lycan has farmed up inventory.. He's imba now.. bla bla"), awesome player ("xyz is an Imba player") etc...

If there is a Troll in the game, then he is boring and unhelpful many times (especially in the hands of a semi noob; in hands of a noob, he's a feeder..), but if a good player plays then he can be insane. However, I personally don't play him. If I need to pick a stunner or strength, one of my picks is Sven.

I do agree that most games are decided by the mid game (by about level 16-20, mostly), but almost all carry heroes, if played properly are good enough by then. All that Drow really needs are Treads and Logain's and she's ready for really team ganks. Luna too is an awesome hero due to her glaives (really easy farming + harass) and ulti. (Eclipse has to one of the best ulti.. can easily kill or at least severely damage 5 heroes, on level 3). Juggernaut too...

I don't usually play Zeus but till the HoD is made, he is really irritating! Once I killed 4 players with drow (they were damaged, but yea) and then started running back for health and then Zues' ulti hit me... :/ This fudgeer was only level 16 while everyone else was 20-25, but he stayed in the base (lol... he was a noob and one team member is a pro, so he told him what to do, when). So the entire team would sacrifice to get my teams healths below a certain limit and then BOOM! :/ (yea... wee hadn't made HoDs and all :P)

I remember a very funny Roshan incident. All the enemy heroes very lane missing and wee grouped up to take bot towers and came across them Roshaning. This is about level 14 and they didn't have proper tankers so were alternating tanking (so you can imagine what was the result). It was fun then. Wee had Luna (Eclipse :P), Razor (Eye of Storm + Plasma Field ), Mirana (starfall) and Sven (entire skill-set for disposal!).... the fun part was that they had almost killed roshan and it took only about 2-3 shots to kill him and get the aegis for absolutely no hard work!

I really doubt I know anyone who still plays -em. Its just too stupid.
