Let's see, I've actually played a dating sim before - really entertaining (as in stupidly funny).

*sigh* If life were a dating sim...  You just say hi to a girl, then when she gives you her phone number, you can dance around to the realisation that you're relationship level has gone up.  Then, when you reach the "Close Friend" level, just buy about 10 rings, and every time you give one to her, she'll act surprised and be very grateful that you gave her one.  By about the 5th ring, your relationship level will grow to "Girlfriend" (yes, dance around again)... blah blah blah...
