Watched the Gurren Lagann Movies over the weekend.

So the season has begin with comedies Working and Shinryaku Ika Musume, both second seasons.

Save for a few laughs, both got off to relatively average starts. Sort of expected but still disappointing. Ika Musume was the better of the two though.

Finished Honey and Clover S1 rewatch... gonna wrap up rest of Tamayura OVAs over the coming days as well as start off the new season.

About to watch Bakuman 2 01 now..

bakuman 2 was really good i thought

straight in there, next no recapping, which to the new viewer would have been critical to understanding more of the finer details.

Yeah, Bakuman nailed it. Really looking forward to the rest of it now.. lots of interesting-looking characters involved now.

Felt Ika Musume was a bit weak compared to last season though.

a slice of life comedy can't really have much development from it's core, so you got to hope the execution is good i reckon. I think Ika S2 will be more of the same, but i love it for what it is anyway :3
