Also avoid talking about it, mostly because I just don't find it an interesting subject.
But anyway, someone who won't forgive you even after an apology probably doesn't really deserve attention.  Everyone's entitled to their own views - just like you are mindful of his beliefs, he needs to be mindful of yours too.

But if you do go there, make sure you keep an open mind, for example:
