^ lol, I'm not saying anything after 1 ep and his appearances in Railgun. At least he doesn't seem like a total idiot.

Ok then, that makes everyone  vs  you and sky.

He mainly annoys me because some of his decisions make absolutely no sense, and that doesn't sit well with me, who's a person who acts on logic, not emotion.

I prefer Accelerator more (he becomes the other main character in the 2nd part of Index, and his ability is imbahax as fuck and rolls stuff all over the place), he might seem like a complete asshole to you 1st time you see him, but he becomes better.  But hey, at least Touma's not clueless and he's not a pansy.

I lol'd. Then again, it is a commonality with shounen male protagonists.

RE: AniList 3/Anime Chatter with Senseito
Dear AniList Readers,

I'd like to take this opportunity to declare just how overrated Mayoi Neko Overrun is.

There are no excuses for it. There are 2, if not 3 legitimately funny episodes - otherwise the only thing that made me (and my sister) laugh at least is the sheer stupidity and scarily bad way this anime has been made.

There IS NOT A SPECIAL HIDDEN SIDE TO IT THAT MAKES IT AMAZING WITH NO REASONABLE EXPLANATION - it's just bad. I know I know it may be hard for some readers to consider anything bad whatsoever but maybe, just maybe you can take my suggestion and get some perspective and watch some actually decent anime.

Lastly, NO! THE GENRE IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR HOW THE ANIME IS! - it's ecchi is tasteless at best, fanservice is not a service to fans and the only characters that are actually tolerable are Nozomi and the Maids in the background who also do the episode previews.. and yes, Nozomi is the only reason I'm still watching the damn thing other than being able to put SOMETHING on my list that has a low score without dropping it.

Nyan-koi! is much better. Watch that instead if you need anime with cats.

/rant

First time is always better, so everyone tends to rate stuff higher when they're new to it.

Your ratings will naturally decrease and average out as you watch more and more stuff.  Sensei himself is an excellent example of that.

But you know what, I find it extremely amusing that this is comming from you Sensei...

Let me remind you of the past...

(19/08/2007 04:56 AM)ZiNgA BuRgA Wrote:  As hinted by Assassinator, I decided to do a little stat analysis of [Sensei's] ratings:

Mean: 9.357142857 /10
Std. Dev.: 0.548374221

So statistically, 66% of [Sensei's] ratings fall between 8.81 and 9.91 (1 standard deviation)

And I think if I remember correctly, your modal score was 10...

Also, because everyone loves pictures...
(20/08/2007 11:54 PM)Assassinator Wrote:  The nature of there being generally more anime above the median than below (mean=arithmetic average. median=middle score.) would make the standard theoretical [anime ratings] curve be something like this:

10/10                            1/10

     =       =
                =
  =                 =
                           =

Zinga's current one is something like this:

     ========

  =                =
                      =
=                        =======

And you're one is like this:

==

Nobody in particular (lol) but I just wanted to say what I said. I've seen quite a lot now and Neko really is noticeably bad. The fact it has an average of 7 (yeah yeah wee all know the scoring is wrong) on MAL ticked me off even more.

I'll graciously admit that over time the ratings in my List have changed as I've gained more perspective, and after re-watches as well which are vital to reinstate my love for the particular title and also add the value of whether or not it's good enough to impress just as well a second time.

I lol'd. Quite a lot on my list still are on 8 & 9, but the titles are what they are, they are that good (imo, of course) but with recent anime and some anime of the past I've been watching recently... I could say here comes the shitstorm but I hope that's not the case.

(Almost all of my currently watching anime are rated 7 - and there will definitely be a score break-up in 3-4 weeks time as they end. Watch this space.)
