From what I know, most people use uTorrent or Azeurus. I use uTorrent.

The 3 most commonly used torrent clients are uTorrent, Azureus and BitCommet.

I use uTorent, cause it's small and doesn't hog memory like Azureus does.

Hmm, I use uTorrent... BitComet is eXx1l3d from some trackers for a number of reasons, and Azureus is java which hogs a lot of memory and is slow. uTorrent has all the functions ull ever need as well as some/a lot of exclusive features, and its really organised imho.

no... which version did u use? 1.10 I'm using the latest, v5.07
the client has evolved so much over the past few years, i think that now it is almost as good as uTorrent, eventhough it isn't i still prefer it :P

From what i remember, the original BT client (mainline) really sucks poo poo. But that's  years back when i tried it. So it's probably far better now.

But i can tell u that back then, it pretty much just has 1 input, where u input ur torrent, and it downloads. Doesn't tell u much info, no other options at all, no download management, like setting priorities and all that stuff, only single download, doesn't resume next time u start it, u actually have to reload that torrent, and select the correct location and do a peice check to continue...

Basically sucks so hard i gave up using torrent in favor of limewire back then... Then i discovered Azureus, at the time when that and BitCommet had the monopoly, then i realised that Azureus took too much memory, then i discovered uTorrent, which is almost as advanced as Azureus, but took way less resources.

uTorrent was still relatively unpopular back then when i started using it, but now it seems to have grown WAY more popular (like 5x). Azureus popularity seems to have halved since, and BitCommet remained the same. Other clients like ABC and Bitlord and stuff never became too popular, but is seen from time to time. Mainline is also seen from time to time.

just so you know, now: You can view heaps of info, even including the IP address of people you are downloading from , it resumes easily after launching the program, priority for each files inside the files that you are downloading, has pause & resume functions, shows you all peers, seeders and leechers connected to and how much you are downloading from them, how fast they are downloading, choose where to save the completed file/s and where the incomplete (still downloading) ones go, has a second-by-second speed graph, how much you have downloaded, and there is more, seriously :P

yeah i know, its just that i have used BitTorrent for so long that I'm used to it and prefer it :P
