TVs need to have some holographic inward projection, so wee can see 3D without the glasses poo poo :P

There was a company many years ago that had 3d projectile LCD monitors used for medical and cad drawing.  I'll try to find the link.

nVidia's solution is probably worse for most people as it requires powered glasses from memory.  Also does require the TV to run at double the framerate.

I was guessing the PS3 3D option is the samethingy,. 3D-glasses and 120Hz tv,..

I actually talked to the company making the monitors back around 2001 and was hoping to get a demo unit for hardware web site review and become a US sales representative of the company, but since a 19" lcd had a pricetag of $20,000 and they didn't have any to sell or demo, their market of sales was very limited and they never came through :(

I doubt it.  It's probably just polarised lenses, which is why you need a new TV for it to work.

The 3D without glasses sounds interesting, though probably won't be coming soon...
