He added: “It’s just a simple firmware update on the hardware.”

Koller did add a caveat, saying, “You will, however, have to have a 3D TV and the glasses to get the full experience and Blu-ray movies in 3D will require a separate firmware update, which will be required by the end of the year”.

evil jerks making new tv technology :(  i just got 2 new lcd tv in 2009, no way i can get new tv in 2010 :(

Watching 3D movies gives me a bad headache. Unless the 3D done using a new method, I can't play games in 3D.

Sucks for me, I guess.

just reading how 3D works sounds headache inducing.

Maybe if you go 4D you'll be okay :P

Too bad it won't be on home TV (any time soon) and it isn't actually a fourth dimension, lol.

TVs need to have some holographic inward projection, so wee can see 3D without the glasses poo poo :P
