No, because it's made assuming you watched Index already, so you won't get the full effect of some of the moments (the ones with Touma).  May also spoil part of Index for you, though I don't know about that (since I don't what's going happen in the future episodes).

It's like playing Crisis Core before playing FF7, sure it's a prequel, but you should still play FF7 first.

I started watching Manabi Straight again last night.. 1st time for my sister... and..

I cried. She didn't see me but I was in tears over it.

After it ended she said "Its okay" and "I'm surprised you like it".

What I had in my mind at that time(which may be very incorrect) was... you were probably telling her how good it is and all, and in the end, she's like "it's nothing special"... thus the "you got pwnt".
