Just now I wanted to install Ubuntu on my PS3..... the disc I burned it onto was scratched but I didn't want to waste a DVD so I gave it a try, failed at 6%, no biggie.

Reboot. Back in kboot I typed boot-game-os which didn't worked so I used the alternate power button method and was greeted with the XMB which asked me if want to use HDMI, of course I selected yes..... bootsound, XMB clicking noises but black screen O_O

tried it again, this time I selected No, same result O_O

tried it again, this time I didn't even got the question on boot the PS3 just beeped quick two times and then powered off.... I was like... OH SH**..... turned it back on..... Question, HDMI, selected yes.... back in the XMB with normal picture on screen..... phew :o

lol ps3 do act kinda funny sometimes.. mine did at first but since hasn't given me any trouble.. its says don't power off when the light is blinking and it means it... first time it was my fault for not listening to that

well the thing is, I was unable to soft power it down from inside kboot.... anyways burned Ubuntu on my last DVD now, install goes fine^^ And I found out the new command is ps3-boot-game-os >_> And despite being installed properly kboot refuses to boot Ubuntu.... V_V

Hello there ,. i got a few questions as i just got a playstation 3 ,
my dad got me and my brother a ps3 both , and as i live in my own place , it's very annoying sharing game with my brother really annoying as he is younger and get's them back when he wants , so the big question is , if i rip our ps3 disks onto my computer and re burn them onto a blue ray disks with a blue ray burner would it work on my ps3 ???? ive been look for answer's all over the web and can't get a stright answer also if i change the file type to an iso file type burn the image with nero onto a blue ray disk ,
if this don't make anysence im sorry but im really not that clever with these consol .

any idear's would be most greatful .
