my compy takes a while also. About 3 min with a 3.22 GHZ processor and 2 GB of ram

the magic of stumble upon is a great and powerful thing.

yeh it was about 80mb with rocketdock no login screen by the way

Driver initialisation + a few seconds (for POST) takes longer than that...  Did you disable a whole load of drivers?

had it set to quickboot no drivers disabled just all the crappy network searching had like 10 fonts left and my cache set to second HD

1.5 mins is relatively nothing if you've had a chance to work on an Exchange server or a server for that matter.... boot times can be anything between 15 mins to 2 hours, depending on the number of services.

4 minutes before it's ready to roll.  Seriously, I timed it.  Don't know why, I don't have a bunch of spoon at startup.  AVG starts (never got around to re-installing NOD32, lazy), topdesk, orb, Y'z shadow, rocketdock and rklauncher.  I've got to have a bug somewhere, but I'm getting a new drive in a week or two, so I'm not stressing it.
