That would cost like more than my CPU. Now that's not good balance, considering I use my CPU WAY more than I would use my GPU.

Nah, I'm only looking at something mid-end. Zinga mentioned even his 4670 managed to run Crysis on high settings with decent frames. The games I play are generally much easier to run than Crysis on high.

And you may ask... "what about the future? Your mid end card would start falling behind while a GTX260 won't"... well, putting a large investment in now to cater for the the future would not be in my best interest, since my current income is... nothing, so any money now is worth MUCH more to me than the same amount later, when I'm (hopefully) in employment and earning a steady income stream.

Seems like the CPU isn't the problem, it's the GPU instead.

As for what GPU i might be planning to get... don't know. For the amount of gaming I do (hardly any), something like a 9600 should be sufficient. At least it definitely won't bottleneck on PS2 emulation lol. (PS2 is WAY more CPU dependant than GPU).
