i didnt read the DN manga but i heard the edn is different.. the end for the anime was meh for me... freakin matsuda!!! and good old ryuk making good on his promise because of that

Meh. Maybe the new manga can redeem the failure of the previous manga's

Finally finished Death Note. I think it started really good, but did degrade later on. I think many of the things later on were questionable as well. I think it should've been split into two series though - I really found it to be two stories packed into one.
But I liked it overall :)
yeah... it kind of did that... didn't it.
anyways the 13th issue of Deathnote is just a character information book. (aslo there is another Deathnote story in the back of the book)
