ba ba ba BUM ba ba ba BUM...etc.

Actually, I listen to classical alot when I just want background music, kinda
like Haden, and love anything done by Yo Yo Ma. Cello is amazing.
Yeah, they're awesome.  Actually, I learn a lot through my piano studying.  I like Chopin still the best.  Liszt is good too.  I'm probably more a romantic period than classical though.
I thought Beethoven was romantic? Lol. Yeah, I took Cello for three years, I've always regretting giving it up. But computer programming kinda filled that
void. Ho well. ;D

Edvard Grieg is also one of my favorites. Though some of his music is a bit melodramatic.
Nah, Beethoven is considered classical.  Mozart is _the_ classical person, Beethoven is more romantic than Mozart, especially the more dramatic pieces he wrote later in (his short) life.  Grieg, I heard of that name somewhere, but dunno much about him.

So Cello, you were in a band?  I've been playing piano for over 10 years now, but I still suck in general knowledge and music theory... T_T  And I suck at composing.  I just play for fun I guess.  The nice thing about being at around my level is that you can pick up a piece and pretty much play it after some practice - it's nice to look through new pieces.
In terms of learning, I'm currently doing a Bach Prelude & Fugue, a Mozart Sonata, Chopin Waltz, and a piece by Debussy.
Beethovens deaf-ness really made him stand out.

Mozart, if he was able to live longer, music as wee know it would have been changed, there is no doubt in my mind.
In his young age, he was able to acomplish more the people do in there life time.

Sample avalible?

Nah. I just thought it sounded cool so I picked it up.  It plays both melody and bass depending on the piece. When I get rich, I'll probably pick it up again. But, yeah, I have no musical talent,
can't compose, don't know musical history, can't pronounce half the things in musical theory. XD I just like playing cool songs. I did it for fun, too, I suppose. I was pretty good at playing, that's
just timing, and coordination. But I had no ear either ;P I needed other people to tune my cello for me.
I don't think I could tune a piano, lol.  Piano tuners use things to compare pitch anyways...
Most people use machines these days I think.
Nah they use those little flute thingies.
