Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor Opus 64. 1st and 3rd movement are just great. 1st is easy, but sounds very intense and deep.
Carmen Fantasy by Pablo de Sarasate. Sick.
I'm rather surprised to see this thread, i love classical music my favortie composition is from beethoven-love story
I need to hear Mendelssohn's violin compositions - I've played some of his piano compositions, pretty cool.
darn, you guys made me go and get a whole mess of classical music. I like classical, but I don't listen as often as I would like...I LOVED yo yo ma, and had never listened to any of his stuff until now because of this thread. Thanks!
^ He's classical? According to
wiki - he was born in 1955... >_>
I have to go with Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin myself.. My favorite piece is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Not any of the movements in particular, just all three movements in one is a great piece of work. I have to say it's my best cause it's what I listen to at night when I can't sleep, and it gets the job done within the first movement..
Another I think would be Für Elise. Both great pieces of musical art.
Mozart I guess would be Symphony No.21 in A. Found a nice site for his music too by the way if anyone is interested. (

And lastly, Chopin, 3 Nocturnes Op.9, A Madame Camille Pleyel. I don't know why but this one is the one i get stuck on when going through his list.
