what about that IDStorage Keys Cleaner that i saw on QJ.net a while ago?
i think if you can find a TA-082 and dump the  Keys (There is an app for this, but the name escapes me) then you could,i think, rewrite theI Dstrorage keys and therefore fix it
However, as i don't own a TA-082, i can't test this, its just a theory :(
It is true if you can lift the ID Storage keys from another TA-82 mobo it *should* fix any issues, I don't have any TA-82 boards to test this on so I'm not sure but I think Chilly Willys key cleaner can also restore keys to a machine and here is a link to some clean ID Storage keys from a TA-82 mobo.

I can't guarantee anything as I didn't make this backup but it's from a decent user on dcemu.

Also note wee can only backup/restore 5 of the keys with these tools, not all of them so you may still have trouble.
i might think about trying this, but the only problem is that i already sent the $145 cheque to Sony to replace the PSP, but they haven't got it yet. but if i do this, it may not work to the full potential.
well i don think id storage would be a problem
only he ur frieng was dumb enough to update to official firmware again will it cause problems
not necessarily, there are a few cases were corrupt ID storage of the keys wee can't fix have stopped certain parts of the PSP working, having said that all cases are from people who I don't know who may well be fudgeards so it might all be bollocks.

I've had so many PSP's to fudge around with the past couple of days and yet I STILL haven't been able to completely screw one through software.
well if the umddrive were fudgeed i don see a need for it after the sony no umd mode on m33
true, but what if these people truly can't recover the full use of there machine, for example the wifi.

It's still my personal belief that these problems are phantoms and only caused by fudgewits but just because I haven't managed to recreate the problem doesn't mean the possibility isn't there.
well maybe they could update back to 2.8 n use that downgrader to aolve the idstorage trouble
for some reason i don't think that would work
