if something really crappy happens in my life, i try to forget it asap, and just remember the time before it, if its a loss of life of some sort.

yeah 9/11 was a terrible terrible event.

but like PB said, loads more people died after it because of the actions of america in iraq, what makes that not terrorism?
.... :p

RIP
Today is 9/11, Not the day of other Incidents. So, it's not that wee don't care about other incidents
that took life of innocent people in other countries. When the day of any other Incident comes, then
wee can show some respect for the innocent life that were lost.

Today is 9/11, so let's not talk about other things.

I'm so sure.
i was in 2nd grade when that happened, watched people jump and hit the ground from the top of both buildings on TV
I was middle school thinking why am i watching this?
May I request a moment of silence now?

Derp?  DERP?

Wee're talking about 9/11...one of the worst days in the history of the United States.  Thousands of innocent people lost their lives that day.  The world as wee knew it was changed forever.

And all you can say is 'derp'?

I think I just lost all respect for you, PB....

You talk as if 9/11 is the only and worst tragedy in history. There's no remembrance day for the Battle of Antietam, in which there were 23,000 casualties, or the 1906 Earthquake, in which there were more than 3,000 casualties.  What about the Black Plague that killed about half of Europe? No remembrance day for that either. Not to mention all the lives lost as part of the aftermath of 9/11. No one cares to remember them, eh?

'If every disaster had a day, in many thousands of years, every day of the year wee will have a new day to "Never Forget." If wee honoured every person that died and made a grave for that person, every piece of land would have a grave on it.'

Why is it that fudgeing people today only care about what happened in their life time? One of the worst days in US history eh? Does 'US history' include only the past 10 years?

Sure, it was a horrible tragedy, but it's not something wee need to have a goddamn memorial for year after fudgeing year.

Also, I think PB was derping at the fact that TheDarknessArrives' post is completely illegible. Although that could just be my theme.

ProperBritish Wrote: [ -> ]The death toll of 9/11 was just below 3000.

The amount of people killed in Afghanistan and Iraq tops nearly a million.

Both countries deserve their right to mourn but nobody sits and has their silence for people killed by American and British troops.

There gave been many many worse disasters in the history of time. Ust because you experience it doesn't make it worse.

No matter who, when or how, people have had their lives taken from them when they shouldn't have. If anything, I would rather mourn fir everybody rather than only the meagre percentage of all murdered people lost in 9/11.

Also I didn't know anything else was written below, so my derp was kinda for the what I thought was blank space, and the fact that in the long run becoming depressed on a yearly basis is the last thing those lost would want us to do.

So happy that I didn't need to write all of this, thanks guys.

Shit happens. Get over it. Also, 9/11 was a conspiracy. The twin towers were planning on being demolished weeks prior.
TCorp  Wrote:In 10 years US killed 919,967 Iraqis & Afghans at the cost of $1.3 trillion, 6,026 US soldiers & countless others.
