but whatever it is, i gonna use katakana to write it. so....

Dude.. you know very well that Asian language speakers can pronounce most syllables accurately... well not all, but you know the point, where as English speakers can't (no offense).. the best example is "ta". You can pretty much guess what English speakers will pronounce it and what it actually is in Japanese.

yeah but I had to get my mom to confirm it because my sister won't believe a word I say.

Personally would keep my name as it's what I'm used to. Can easily adapt to different pronunciations, but a new name is difficult to get used to IMO >_>
