Also, the main reason for considering a Macbook is that you can sell them back for a higher than PC notebook value...

Dude... stop being a fanboy/anti-mac person...

Like I mentioned in the 1st post... I want valid discussion. For eg. what ZB provided. I am still going through that forum, so haven't commented on that link yet...

Seriously.. I'm waiting for those who use macs (like already said).
It's worth some money. I use it all the time in the lab to do my homework.

Photoshop is the same.

Also multi-booting can be done on any computer there's no new experience there...boot camp has icons to choose your os so you might find that different than windows boot...xD

I've used many apps that I used on my windows computer because I don't really do much hacking/coding (which also has). :p

Boot time takes 10 seconds more longer than windows. ^_^'

This is all my experience about the mac, as for ipods ...NO!

How is the usage experience.... I've heard that its very different for a Windows user... Can you describe it?

And also, does it take too long to learn OSX?
dude, fudge one mouse button!. my mouse have 4 + 2 scroll wheels.
and it's NOT ENOUGH!

So does mine... and that is good for Windows...

But I'll be not using a laptop for any advanced things.. Gaming, assigning multiple shortcuts etc...

YOU of all people should get a drift why I've asked this...
Read through the thread... so much hate here.

Though I do agree with that statement made about "buy the computer for the spec of the parts".

Seriously, what the fuck do you use all these buttons for?

I have 6 buttons and 1 wheel, only really use 2 buttons.
Unlike my computer it doesn't take time to load your applications.

I usually turn on Firefox Photoshop and Microsoft Word(Yes they have this available at the lab) at the same time with no freezing but with enough applications running you'll definitely feel that slow feedback.

The mouse is very different but you do get that "click" sound and you can tell which is from left/right click.

The screen is fudgeing big so back away in dark areas.

The dock is surprising at first but you get the hang of it. Exploring files is very similar to the windows search app or is it the other way? xD

Anyways all i have to say is that it's very fast reliable and somewhat worth your money. Make sure to get student discounts. ^^

That is the expected. However, sensible posts do turn up periodically.

The exact reason why I'm having these doubts and not deciding on anything...
I wasn't being a fan boy...I hate most OSs including Linux. They all have their flaws. If you want to buy a $1,000 dollar laptop just for what a Windows PC can do, you go ahead. The reason why Macs are "better" at design is because PS integrates itself with the graphics card. Most Macs come with a GeForce 9 series making the design experence worth while but the 9 series are beginning to become obsolete.

I honestly don't see how people get bought into Apple's propaganda so easily. It's a Unix based system that uses .DMG and .APP files. The theme engine is called Quartz which makes the Finder bar and windows Transparent. The Dock reflects everything. Every bit of software is so restricted to what Apple approves.

I'm not trying to come here trolling with no facts and saying "Derp, it suckz cause iz appl.". I've used OS X for the past year and couldn't stand it.

Anything can be done on any OS if you put your mind to it.

Now that was very helpful... thanks!

tell me why you didn't like it. That is what I want to know. The user-experience in the long run.
