its ok... on all fronts.. that's it. Mediocre in all aspects (like IE, imo).
Only FF and flock support plugins (and flock too, cause of FF base).
In all, if you want to switch, it should a choice between FF, Opera and Chrome.
Suggest that you download and install the 3 and use them each for a week respectively.
About the ad block:
FF has a plugin which blocks all image, script, flash and text based ads. Pretty nifty... as you can imagine.

Yeah. Open source things like Firefox are always more secure, because the community can do their part in fixing the error, and not to mention, Firefox exploits are patched faster than IE exploits.
I'm on Windows 7, and it has errors installing K-Meleon, Opera, and Apple Safari :(
what errors? All run fine on my PC... 'cept K-Meleon.. haven't tried that.
