Mc Cabe Wrote: [ -> ]trademark91 Wrote: [ -> ]and not to mention if you ever want to change anything in firefox, down to the most specific detail, all you have to do is put about:config into the top bar. theres no way to do that kind of customization in chrome...
Meh things that just work are better, no?
I bet 90% of users don't even know of about:config nor use it. The people that have, just followed some instructions to make FF faster. Even then it wasn't as fast as chrome. When it comes down to it I think speed is the real issue.
Both browsers are open source so both technically have all the customization you would ever want...If you understand every option in about:config I would assume you know a bit about programming...
firefox 'just works' too.
but if you want complete ability to change it to be your perfect browser, you can do that with FF.
Firefox 4 beta 7 is now about as fast as Chrome, but very few plugins. Personally, I use Chrome for general browsing, and FF when I need to download videos or more stuff with extensions.
Ok, so you like Chrome, well, that's sure fine.
But this guy came back after 1/2 a year of inactiveness as if he's the head of the Church of Chrome trying to convert us all, or something like that.

Goddamn flame bait.
Mc Cabe Wrote: [ -> ]Fast as hell, webkit, better than firebug developer tools, great user interface and plugins/themes all that's jazz etc (if you care about that stuff)
Ok... lets look at this one step at a time.
Fast as hell. «-- as Sensei said, Opera is faster.
webkit, better than firebug developer tools,

So you claim that 90% of people don't know what about:config is and how to use it. I do not disagree with you on that.
But how much % of people do you think don't know about webkit and whatever the hell is better than firebug developers whatever tools, and don't know how to apply them to obtain noticable gain? Try 99%?
great user interface

Lets use your own words...
Mc Cabe Wrote: [ -> ]Meh they all appear to be merging, FF4, Opera and Chrome all pretty much have the same interface so that isn't exactly a winning point.
plugins

That's supposed to be an advantage for Chrome now? Everyone and their dog knows Firefox has a wider range of plugins.
themes all that's jazz etc (if you care about that stuff)

"lol So what? A very small issue. And I bet 90% of users either don't give a poo poo about customization or don't know how, and the people who do know probably just followed a guide or some s
hit like that. And both browsers are open source so both technically have all the theming you would ever want...

lol So what? A very small issue, GIF animations should die anyway...
Great argument there.
L
ol, I like my browser, you like yours. Leave it as that okay?
No point trying to get people to agree with your "my opinion is better than yours". Many people (including me) tried doing that 1.5 years ago. Didn't work.

i was in the library when i read that. now everyones staring at me because i laughed so loud.
