why does bloogle1.com look like blackle.com ... lol
z7shaft Wrote:Yes, it will only work on the old CRT screens... laptops consume the same energy for displaying colors in the lcd...

if that's true...  i really need to get an lCD monitor .. :(
zinga said it himself somewhere around these parts...
that, that site doesn't always save you energy, he said with a certain monitor it actually uses more..

I'll look for the quote..

@slushba :   you don't have to be so aggressive, were all friends here..

Q F T ... biiiiiiiiatch Hihi
Bottomline:

If you like black use the bloogle or whatever.. (by the way this doesn't have Image search and all.. so PHAIL! Looks matter, but only when it doesn't heavily comprise on utility..)

If you like white, use google!
Kaiser Wrote:No display runs on heat, plasmas run with the light generated by fire, hence plasma (plasma = fire)
lcd uses a backlight

Plasma is ionized gas, not fire.

And plasma in plasma TVs is created by sandwiching the gas between 2 different voltages, and ionizing it.

Slushba132 Wrote:lcds use a backlight to light up the display the actual color is determined by the heat of the Liquid crystal.

At least that's what I've come to understand'

LCDs work by liquid crystals twisting to match the electric fields. The light passes through the crystal helix, and is twisted with it, which makes different amounts of it able to pass through a filter at the end. Then it goes through a color filter, and ends up colored.

So Light -» polarizing filter -» liquid crystals -» polarizing filter -» color filter -» colored light.

It actually takes the most amount of electricity to turn the crystals in order to block all the light light I think, compared to any other color. But LCDs don't eat much energy anyways. It's CRTs and Plasmas that takes lots of power.

...

And no, I didn't spit all that poo poo out of my donkey, if anyone's going to argue that. From looking at wikipedia + other sites.
No... I do remember reading that assassinator (the part about lcds anyway)

I was only hostile because I hate idiots who pull facts out of their donkey stating something that google themselves clearly said was wrong

So basically they wasted all their time and effort to do something that the site they are trying to be like says is completely wrong...
It looks better apart from the slogon: "The black google"
I still like google better, i use lcd so oh well
Yeah, i got an LCD too.

I do think Bloogle is easier on the eyes, but with no image (ect) searches:

Google > Bloogle

I disagree:

Customised google > google
