CWCheat Update: cwcheatpops for 3.40 OE-A and older
21/04/2007 07:13 AM Posted by: dasme in PSP News
Quote[Image: snap009_qjgenth.png?189016]Weltall recently released another quick update for CWCheat. As you can probably guess, he's updated it to add support for the latest custom firmwares from Dark_Alex, namely 3.40 OE-A and older firmwares.

There don't seem to be any actual changes other than that, as his changelog doesn't expressly state anything new for CWCheat. He does mention in the title of the original download link that MC Support has been fixed, so you should be able to use all of the functions previously found in CWCheat v0.1.7 Revision B with this one.

 EndlessParadigm.com !

Yay!  I've finally registered http://endlessparadigm.com/ :)  Please change any bookmarks (lol, if you even bother to bookmark this site :P)

Also, thanks a LOT to Gavia for allowing me to use his webspace (saving me a lot of money and hassle ;)).  Hopefully, there won't be any more slowdowns or screw-ups :)

A few problems though, I did notice many of the unicode and extended ASCII characters (characters such as ♥ ∞ etc) stuffed up during the transfer.  Shouldn't be much of an issue.

Another thing is that I'm too lazy to download and reupload all the image files, so there's bound to be stuff-ups somewhere.  Nevertheless, the default theme should be fine.
If you find a stuffed/missing image, please inform :)

Hope you enjoy these changes!

 Boxy II v0.7
21/04/2007 12:57 AM Posted by: juan2320 in PSP News
[Image: ScreenShot1small.jpg]
Boxy 2 is an improved clone of the game Lumines. You have to eliminate as much blocks as you can. Blocks of 4 fall down and you can turn them clockwise or counterclockwise to drop them in any rotation as you desire.

Added:

    * In game menu (sound off/on) (music off/on) (exit game)
    * Change in game over screen.
    * Change in some themes the pause screen

Fixes:

    * Time display now correct (00:00)
    * Select quit during game deleted

Wireless Router with Analogue Utilization Meter
20/04/2007 08:44 PM Posted by: YoYoBallz in Tech News
Now when I seen this I was like :D Even I could ever do this hehehe it's still cool :he:

something like this would be sooo cool to have its like too weeks old.

And I though I would share!
[Image: wireless_router_with_analogue_utilisation_meter_1.jpg]

[quote=hackedgadgets] It seems like everything in this hectic world is going digital. This Wireless Router with Analogue Utilization Meter project takes digital information and presents it in an analog form.
Video after the jump.

“There are a number of ways to find out how much bandwidth is being used. This being the first pass at a digital to analogue conversion of the utilisation, I opted for simply using the uplink LED as an indication of the amount of traffic passing between my home and the internet.

This has some serious limitations. I do not know whether the hardware (broadcom chipset) or firmware (dd-wrt) contains the sampling algorythm that drives the LED, probably the chipset. Here’s the first issue, an LED must be on for around 30mS for the human eye to register it properly. Networking packets are much much shorter than this. So the router must do a little math and translate real network traffic in to slower LED blinking. So there is a sampling loss, the LED is a rough approximation of the actual traffic.

Then, I must boost the 3.3V which drives the LED up to 14V required for the rev counter (most automotive dials and meters like this are linear 0-12 or 14V) For this I used a basic op-amp circuit. Without some swanky Digital to Analogue conversion I again loose a lot of resoslution.

In the end, this is not a very good representation of the traffic bandwidth being used, but the further I got in to the project, the more it became an interesting object of art and less a solution to the original problem.

 3.30 OE-A' and 3.40 OE-A released
20/04/2007 01:16 PM Posted by: dedat in PSP News
DarK_AleX has just released both 3.30 OE-A' and 3.40 OE-A
the 3.30 OE-A' update is a simple bugfix and the 3.40 OE-A being the whole new firmware upgrade. the flasher has also gone under an upgrade as it now checks the DATA.DXAR file so that you can't brick your psp by using the wrong DATA.DXAR.
for example, normally using a 3.30 data.dxar with 3.40 OE update would brick, but now it will check and abort the update.
head over to the release thread at maxconsole

20/04/2007 06:20 AM Posted by: mezmorizingmage in PSP Theme Releases
This is my first time making gameboots, but they all have been tested and are working. This is a collection of 41 Final Fantasy VII gameboots compatable with custom firmware. The source videos came from the PSX disk it's self, converted into AVI. Here are some screen shots, keep in mind the actual gameboot looks better.

All gameboots HAVE been flashed and tested on my 3.30 OEA PSP

Flash gameboots to:
X:\vsh\resource\gameboot.pmf
Where X is your psp's drive letter

Debrand your gameboot with Flash Agent.

 Endless Paradigm - The meaning
20/04/2007 02:22 AM Posted by: Gavia in Random News
Coming to this forum I had no idea of the meaning of a Paradigm so I decided to do a little investigation work. I went to the most obvious place first, a dictionary.
A set of forms all of which contain a particular element, esp. the set of all inflected forms based on a single stem or theme. - Dictionary.com

That got me absolutely no where so I dug further, and went to the biggest database ever created.

[frame]The word paradigm comes from the Greek word πα
