I got one of those compact ones.. and it was brand new at Xmas 07 - but it takes ages to take a photo!!

I can I make it do quicker snaps?

My dad's got one too, did some speech somewhere, and they gave it to him as a present.

It was some time ago though, so yours is probably better.

I never really use it, but it doesn't seem to take that long taking a photo...

Turn flash on. . .

It basically tells the camera to make shutter speed shorter.

there are a few different ways to make it take a faster picture


but the quality will go down

my suggestion is mess with the settings

see what works best for you

my camera can sometimes take a while to take pictures depending on light so flash might work.

its mostly due to your memory stick.

Watch the camera after it takes a photo and you will see the write light flash so many times...using sandisk gaming pro duo you will see many less flashes than using a standard sony card!

Its a DSC-W80.. I have problems with noise as well.. maybe I should make the photos smaller - I usually shoot in 7M/5Meter shots

i have that exact same camera... with a High speed MSpro duo, indeed the camera has problems with the noise... the sensor is too sensitive i think....

i don't know how to make the shutter faster, neither do i know of a way to remove the autofocus thingy, which makes the actual shooting of the pic slow...
