I'm getting the 404 error on the portal page too..
I just did what feinicks did.

Something might be wrong with the server since php pages are generated there.

Couldn't get onto the since yesterday night (which might not be yesterday night for those of you in the US).

Returns something like: ... Error 500 - Internal error.

Yeah, Zinga is addressing it now. He said whatever went wrong has to do with his swapping of webservers last night, and that he'll add an additional application to check for the 500 error, and if it does, it'll reset. Then again, that is what I got from what he told me. He may come in and clarify more if he wants.
