Meet Drobo: the world's first storage robot
Quote[Image: dr_qjpreviewth.jpg?828652]Who ever said R2D2 is the only robot that deserves attention? Introducing, Drobo: the "world's first storage robot." So he may not be as cute as them pop robots, like R2D2 or C3PO, but Drobo's just as functional.

Ultimately, Drobo is a multi-drive storage for your PCs. What makes him a cut above the rest, though, is the fact that he's got in him an intelligent drive management application. How intelligent is intelligent? Check out these features:
• the ability to auto-repair corrupted data

• the ability to detect when a drive is about to fail

• the ability to let users add storage drives (of any size) or pull out dead drives while working with files

• RAID-like redundancy

• drive status with capacity notifications via front-panel alert lights
See? Personally, I am convinced that Drobo is definitely intelligent. My eyes just literally lit up when I read that auto-repair feature. No more tears for all those work that suddenly disappeared into thin air! Although the price did water my eyes a bit: US 700.
