WHAT THE??!!!?!?!?!??
so anyways, my computer was bein real wacky and random this
morning.
it was running incredibly slow, and stuff started popping up
for no reason. Sometimes i would get directed to a hershey kisses (pr.on gets changed to
hershey kisses????) site instead of where i wanted to go(or was that where i wanted to go?)
and then like the internet explorer popped up about 30 times,
and kept doing so, no matter how many i closed.
could this be the result of spyware or a virus?
anyhow everything seems to have been fixed,
but what the hell??

RE: WHAT THE??!!!?!?!?!??
Scan your PC with Ad-Aware and an anti-virus.
Might be one.

RE: WHAT THE??!!!?!?!?!??
God I remember when I got a trojan that unleashed a horrible amount of poo poo on me. I had to spend days learning how to isolate it and this one horrible popup called homesearch.com or something. God it was annoying. It'd pop up the same thing every 20 mins or so. I'd leave for school, come back, and see literally about 20 or 30 internet explorer windows across my toolbar. Just go get ad-aware, spybot S&D, Counterspy, Kaspersky, or any other fine anti-spyware/virus detection/prevention programs. Fix it before it gets outta hand!!! I'd recommend using more than one, since none of them detects everything. I usually would run Spybot + Ad-aware, but I also threw counterspy into the mix now.

RE: WHAT THE??!!!?!?!?!??
its a pain when the pc gets infected by adwares or spywares.
any good AV like AVG, NOD, Kapersky etc will suit fine. If you don't wnat to have three different softwares for scanning and intrsion removal purposes, get a security suite like Eset Security Suite. (NOD32 is by Eset). Its very effective.

RE: WHAT THE??!!!?!?!?!??
By the way nobody mentioned it.
But you are supposed to scan your PC in "safe mode" while the spywares/virures are not active.
If all fails. You'll need a fresh windows install.
