Like most of you know, the SOTW has been up and running for over 30 weeks now (more than 6 months! Specky

).

All this time, wee've been flexible in terms of the rules of the competition... but wee considered that in the more than 6 months this contest has been done, the people should know already the rulings of this competition. However, seeing that some people (I'm not talking about anyone, this message is to everyone.) are not following the rules:

Wee announce that from this moment on, that any person (including ourselves, the SOTW mods) that do not follow the rules of the SOTW Rules and Regulations Thread will not be added into the Voting thread/ Disqualified from the current week's voting.

SOTW Rules and Regulations Thread

The rule that is being ignored the most is at the moment of the submitting of the entries, the posting of he incomplete code/ no code posted at all

The post has to have this
Posting the sig outside the codebox is encouraged, but optional.

Code:

[img]your-sigs-url-here[/img]

The sig link MUST have the img tag code, else it will be ignored.

and for making the code box, the tag for making it is [code] insert the IMG code, and close the tag with [/code]

Also, Wee discourage the submitting of Non-serious and joke sigs. The competition is based mostly on skill, and submitting that kind of sigs affect the other participants, which put a lot of time and effort into their sigs, and can be very frustrating.

Yep. Kaiser and myself spoke about it on MSN. Wee decided to not go easy on the participants.

i think funny sigs is also a part of creativity

i know im one of the people who don't add the code under it but that's only because i don't remeber to so im sorry :/

every sig i try to enter, if i do, is a funny- joke sig
if fact that's the style im going after now

bvut i do use graphical design as well

oh well i should enter one with out code and im tags just for lol

Well... yeah, they may be creative, but the SOTW also bases on skill, which is something that funny sigs generally... lack of...

however, wee're not forbidding them... wee're just suggesting that they shouldn't be used...

if you forget the code, most likely someone will tell you, if i notice, i will say so, but won't do it myself, and if at the end of entry time you didnt fixed it, you will not participate...

<_< do note that i may consider that kind of post as spam if im in a bad mood... and as i said before, i will not allow it on my SOTW threads.

Alas, the rules aren't that hard/difficult to follow ffs

that is why i don't like SOTW right there
(not kaiser, because he's the homie) but it's way to strict for EP..
but i understand, i guess, i don't sPa/\/\ the sotw thread at all, if you check i merely enter (if i do) and vote
i don't think i even vote post in the vote thread unless something interest me..

this is one reason i made the random battle to be looser with the rules..

I could help if I were still a MOD,.

I have kept the links of the SOTW stuff in my sig ever since tigerfan left me with SOTW.

If I were a MOD I wouldn't actually mind adding all of the codes anymore, what I tend to do beforehand is create a .txt file and post the img tags in it already to make it easier.
