XMB Swapping (3.80 M33-5 Custom Firmware) Help?
Earlier I saw a thread that changed the Location Free Player to M33 Update.
So.. What I want to do.. But I have no skill for...
is make or get help making..
A reboot option under the settings menu. With a different icon other than the Location free player icon?
But keep the m33 update thing in the network options menu.

I think I explained that correctly.
If there is already somethin' like this. Do link me and close the thread. Because I want exactly what I have put up.
Reboot at the top of the menu.. You know. Like the good ol' days before updating was cool. :D

This thread talked about it getting done. Is there someone who can give me the updated version of it?

The one with the Network update «» Reboot fixed?

Because the one in the thread only listed a download that made LFPlayer to be M33 Update and the M33 Update under the system settings tab (or whatever) useless.

[Same post as in the other thread.]

by robs1968 thanks heaps great work
it uses the LFPlayer as m-33 update and reboot-shutdown on the normal sony update
maybe you can check it out and see what has been done
or post your thread in the help section the guys here are so helpful
and really know there stuff
its in the download section 3.80 themes http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/downloa...iew&cid=20

This guy found what I was looking for. Just not the theme I'm using. and the certain .PRXs said to make this work just changed the way the theme is for me.

Help guys?

Upload the vshmain.prx from your theme and I'll swap the code for you.

Icons will have to swapped in topmenu_icon.rco and text changed in topmenu_plugin.rco as well.

This will put the reboot icon at the top of the settings column, and the m33 updater icon under online help in the network column

It's alright. You changed the visuals and that's pretty much it. Oh, and the text.
All you need to do is swap the names. Because, I click on m33 updater in the settings menu, it reboots.
I click on system reboot, and it goes to the m33 update screen. So, Is that easy to fix?
EDIT:
Nevermind. I figured it out myself on RCO editor. :P
Thanks for the setup though. :D

Sorry buddy, just changing visuals and swapping the names doesn't do it.  That doesn't magically move M33 update to the network column and system reboot to system settings. Would you have asked for help if it was that easy? You can swap the icons and change the text yourself.

swapping the code in vshmain.prx is what does it:

RE: XMB Swapping (3.80 M33-5 Custom Firmware) Help?
Probably not. I tried using hex editor, and all I saw was a bunch of dots and little text. (like i see in your screenshot)

Looks like a lot of work. But seems to just be changing some values and such.
Other than that. Can I use this vshmain.prx and ect. with 3.90 M33? I want to know before I update.
I'm on a phat.

I'm on a phat.

It will not work flashing the same vshmain.prx on 3.90 M33.

The offsets have changed

I found the new offsets in the 3.90 M33 vshmain.prx. I can easily swap the code, but since ac_k hasn't updated his custom xmb editor for 3.90, it will require me to manually change all of the other floats so the vshmain.prx matches your custom theme.

That will require changing 72 floats just to change the font color and info bar to black alone, and also changing the rest of the floats for xmb x and y coordinates to match your theme.

My suggestion. Stay at 3.80 M33 for now. Wait for ac_k to update his editor and for the theme to be converted to 3.90. If his updated editor still has the menu bug, swapping the code will only take a minute.

Your not gaining much with 3.90 anyway.
